The Amazon Global Business Sustainability Meeting

With a strong sense of responsibility and a firm commitment to the principles of global sustainability, we announce the postponement of the “The Amazon Global Business Sustainability Meeting”, previously scheduled to be held in Belém do Pará during COP30, to the year 2026.

This decision follows a careful assessment of the current international context and the logistical and diplomatic challenges posed to the organization of major multilateral events in 2025.

The ongoing armed conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East have shifted global political attention and resources, reducing engagement in climate and sustainability forums. In addition, the global financial landscape has curtailed funding opportunities for climate finance and civil society participation, especially from the Global South.

Meanwhile, Belém — although symbolically important as a gateway to the Amazon — still faces significant infrastructural limitations, as noted by international observers and diplomatic delegations. Challenges include limited hotel capacity, rising accommodation prices, sanitation deficiencies, and urban mobility constraints.

In light of these factors, and in order to ensure proper organization and global visibility, we will redirect our efforts to a fully restructured edition of the event in 2026, with greater international engagement and regional readiness.

We also express our support for the Republic of Türkiye as host of the next edition of the UN COP31 in 2026.

We reaffirm our belief in the Amazon's central role in reshaping the global economic model and trust that Brazil will be ready to host this initiative with excellence and inclusiveness at the appropriate time.

New dates and location details for the 2026 edition will be released later this year through our official channels.

Eyelegal, a civil society initiative dedicated to environmental conservation, sustainability, and human rights, is organizing a series of private side events during the UN COP 30 in Belém, Pará State, Brazil, in 2025.

We extend an invitation to your company for a greater engagement in the Latin American economy. We encourage you to bring your innovative and sustainable ideas to our convention in Belém, which will take place from November 11th to 20th, 2025.

This event will offer a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss strategies for protecting the environment and promoting human rights. Additionally, there will be numerous opportunities to explore worldwide collaboration in various fields, including communication and media to enhance your country’s tourism appeal, cultural exchanges through our media industries, and identifying industrial synergies across many sectors such as defense, oil and gas, technology, communications, construction, transportation, and much more.

At Eyelegal, we prioritize simplicity and informality in our approach. Unlike other organizations, we do not have an international directorate. Instead, each country has its own native team that establishes a local organization aligned with our goals. These teams collaborate within a global network, sharing resources and contacts to address issues worldwide.

We respect the autonomy of each nation and do not interfere in their internal affairs. We rely on citizens to bring forward the issues they want addressed. Our decisions are driven by the voices of ordinary people, supported by our global network. Importantly, our work is entirely non-commercial to individuals—there are no fees involved.

Legally representing your company's interests in South America and facilitating partnerships that would mutually benefit both parties is something we are prepared to do, if necessary. Our aim in promoting sustainable economic development is to maintain the non-profit activities of our organization to protect the Amazon rainforest and defend human rights.
